Jewel Ward Sparkles at No Crystal Stair

Jewel Ward graced the No Crystal Stair event in Hendersonville, North Carolina, on May 15, 2022. Hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville, this gathering celebrated the Evolutionary Struggle of the Black Woman. Jewel's powerful presence shone as she performed "Natural Woman" and "Gotta Be" alongside a talented ensemble of 27, including speakers, dancers, spoken word artists, musicians, and poets.

The impressive lineup featured a diverse group of speakers and performers, including Tynesha Carden, Jay Carey, Kaylan Petty, Indian Jackson, Donnie Black, Crystal Cauley, The Carolina Diva Diamondz, Jenna Jaffe, Deborah Shelton-Ogiste, Tony Robles, Tricia B., Linda S., and, of course, the remarkable Jewel Ward.

Due to popular demand, this ensemble will deliver an encore performance of No Crystal Stair on June 11, 2022, at Kaplan Auditorium in the Hendersonville County Library.

We extend our gratitude to Isabel Cutler for the rehearsal photo of Jewel Ward featured in this blog post.
