This free event will be held at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park on June 29, starting at 11 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Black History Collective of Henderson County, North Carolina.
Enjoy captivating performances by recording artist Kia Rice, also known as Virtuous, Jewel Ward, lyrical dancer Alyeh Cady, and more. Don't forget to bring your own chair to comfortably enjoy the performances.
We're excited to feature the artwork of JT Williams, a talented 9-year-old student from Bruce Drysdale Elementary School.
While there won't be any vendors at the event, the Family Recipes food truck will be conveniently stationed across the street in the Salvation Army parking lot. Additionally, a free information table will be available for all attendees.
The park is located at 400 North Grove St. We look forward to seeing you there!
